 First China Smart Industry Trade Exhibition in 2019

#Bernama News Channel:China Entrepreneurs Association in Malaysia (PUCM) will host the China Smart Industrial Exhibition on December 14th and 15th to showcase smart technology and products from Chinese companies. 

Its president, Keith Li said the exhibition will take place at Mid Valley featuring leading ICT companies such as China Mobile International, China Telecom, China Commservice, UB Tech, GCI and Vivo. 

Through this exhibition, Li said PUCM will enable Malaysian government , smart industry  trade players and others to learn more about China’s smart technology and product services, better promote exchanges and interactions with the local community, introduce more advanced Chinese products and technologies to Malaysia, and assist the country’s economic development.  

Li felt blessed that Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahattir  gave PUCM a congratulatory message to show his support and recognition on China AI and Smart technology and products. Li also showed his thanks to the government bodies, agencies and local supporting partners such as Ministry of Tourism , Arts and Culture, Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau ( MYCEB), Malaysian Investment Development Authority ( MIDA), State Government of Perlis, The National ICT Association of Malaysia ( PIKOM),Malay Businessmen and Industrialists Association in Malaysia ( PERDASAMA), The SME Association  of Malaysia (SME) and Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce ( MCCC), which shows that from Prime Minister to government bodies and trade players’ strong interest and high expectations on China AI and smart Technologies.

KUALA LUMPUR: Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah on Tuesday (Sept 6) spoke highly of the economic ties with China and encouraged the sharing of cutting-edge technologies between the two countries, reported Xinhua.

At the opening ceremony of the 2022 China Smart Industry Trade Exhibition and Forum (2022 CSITE), Saifuddin expressed his gratitude to China for its contribution to Malaysia's economic development.The Exhibiton is hosted by China Entrepreneures Association in Malaysia (PUCM) and this is 2nd SCITE while 1st in 2019, according to PUCM president Dato' Keith Li.

Speaking of China's development in high-tech and digital economy, Saifuddin said China was "a leading powerhouse" not only in innovation but also in the application of technology.

In a congratulatory message to this exhibition, Saifuddin said: "It is our hope that the entrepreneurs from China, through this trade exhibition, will use this networking platform to collaborate with Malaysian partners and vice versa."

In his speech at the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing said that science, technology and innovation cooperation was always an important part of China-Malaysia bilateral relations and has built up strong momentum.

"In the post-Covid-19 era, China will work with Malaysia to improve cooperation in R&D as well as application of high-tech in smart manufacturing, explore new cooperation areas, improve people's life quality, and accelerate the country's industrial transformation," he said.

Ouyang said this exhibition would deepen the mutual understanding between Chinese and Malaysian technology companies, and would create a solid foundation for comprehensive and multilevel cooperation in the future.

China Smart Industry Trade Exhibition held in Kuala Lumpur 2023

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 — Cooperation between Malaysia and China in telecommunications and digital economy will benefit both countries, Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Teo Nie Ching said in her speech at the 2023 China Smart Industry Trade Exhibition and Digital Forum, reported Xinhua.

“Malaysia and China have complementary strengths in the telecommunications and digital economy, and we can work together to create new opportunities for businesses and consumers,” she said.

The Malaysian government has introduced Malaysia Digital (MD), a national strategic initiative that seeks to grow the digital capacities and capabilities of the nation as well as raise the overall ecosystem value, according to her.

“We look forward to seeing more investment by Chinese companies in Malaysia’s digital economy, as well as significant steps in the cooperation between Malaysia and China in the field of digital telecommunications,” she added.

In his video message to the forum, Malaysia’s Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang said the burgeoning collaboration between Malaysia and China in the field of science and technology further strengthens bilateral relations.

“As we jointly venture into the realm of artificial intelligence, we unlock immense potential for its application in key areas such as healthcare, transportation, and manufacturing. Malaysia and China’s collaboration efforts extend to the development of new energy technologies, crucial in mitigating pollution and addressing climate change,” he said.

For his part, Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing said that China and Malaysia share much in common in social and economic development strategies. Both countries take science, technology and innovation as the important driver for social and economic growth.

China’s investment in Malaysia’s high-tech fields and related cooperation keep increasing and the exhibition and forum will help promote science, technology and innovation cooperation between the two countries, he said.

Organised by the China Entrepreneurs Association in Malaysia (PUCM), the forum brings together experts from both countries to exchange views and share insights on the latest developments in high-tech industries.

According to PUCM president Keith Li, more than 100 enterprises and organisations from both countries participated in the exhibition and forum.
