Y&C Florist & Workshop first started its journey in April 2021. The founder, Ms. Jovinne, returned to Malaysia from Singapore to start up a floral cafe business despite the unforeseen circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic that struck Malaysia in 2020.
With no expectation of how prosperous the business has become right now, Jovinne was handling everything all by herself. From customer acquisition to flower arrangement and delivery even the hand-written wish cards every aspect was taken care of personally. Despite the hard times, Jovinne did not give up her passion. She utilised her time at home to categorise the past floral work she had done and upload it to social media.
In May 2022, Y&C expanded the business to wholesale and supply as well, selling a variety of florist items such as preserved dried flowers, soap flowers, ribbons, wrapping paper, and other florist supplies. During the end of 2022, Y&C Florist & Workshop expanded into a small team of four people.
