TERNAFIN CREAM FOR ANTIFUNGAL 15G
DESCRIPTION:
Product contains :
➤ Terbinafine hydrchloride (micronised) 1% w/w
Preservative :
➤ Methyl paraben 0.2%w/w
➤ Propyl paraben 0.05% w/w
White to off-white smooth homogenous mass.
INDICATION:
Fungal infections of the skin caused by dermotophytes eg trichophyton (eg : T. rubrum, T. mentafrophytes, T. verruscosum T. violaceum) microsporum canis and epidermophyton floccosum; yeast infections of the skin, principally those caused by the genus candida (eg , candida albicans); pityriasis (tinea) versicolor due to pityrosporum orbiculare (also known as malassezia furfur).
DOSAGE:
➤ To be applied once or twice daily.
➤ Cleanser and dry the affected areas thoroughly before application.
➤ Apply thin layer of cream to the affected skin and surrounding area and rub in lightly.
➤ In the case of intertriginous infections (submammary, interdigital, intergluteal, inguinal), the application may be covered with a gauze strip, especially at night.
Usual duration of treatment :
Tinea pedis, Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris : Apply twice daily for 1 week.
Cutaneous candidiasis : 1-2 weeks.
Pityriasis (tinea) versicolor : 2 weeks.
* Store in a cool dry place below 30C.
* Protect from the light.
* Keep out of reach of children.
