SUMMARY
The RED PANTHER range of dry powder extinguishers are certified to BS EN : 1996 and manufactured under an ISO 9001 approved Quality system.The cylinders are deep drawn rom cold rolled steel, centre welded and pressure tested to twice the extinguisher's working pressure. Cylinder are externally coated with epoxy polyster (with phosspate under treatment) for maximum corrosion resistance and have passed the 480-hour salt spray test. The hot forged brass valve is fitted with a press can be tested 'inservice' as required by BS EN 3:1996.The RED PANTHER range of dry powder fire extinguishers are charge with specially fluidised and siliconised mono ammonium phosphate powder which offer resistance to compaction where the extinguishers installed in a location subjected to vibration and are safe and effective for use on ClassA,B,and C fires under BS EN3:1996 classification of fires.

BS EN3 Kitemarked Extinguishers
The Kite Mark on a portable fire extinguisher provides a visible endorsement by the British Standards Instituition, the UK national standards body, of a manufacturer's commitment to quality.
Manufacturers are required to submit the extinguishers to rigorous examiniation and testing by the BSI to ensure consistent quality in production.Samples are taken from production and are submitted by the manufacturer to BSI for type testing to confirm full compliance with the material design and construction, functional, dimensional, and making requirement specified and standard. Assessment of the manufacturers' quality management system is carried out by a BSI Quality Assesor
CE Mark
As of May 2002, all fire extinguishers which operate under pressure have to be manufactured according to the requirements of the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).In response to this Directive, Chubb Fire lead the way in being the first UK manufacturer of fire extinguishers to achieve the required standard. As a result, the CE mark now appears on all our extinguishers, for recognising and reinforcing the fact that they are safe.
Wheel Mark
The fire equipment which complied with the Marine Certification is broadly use in aboard sea-going ships and off-shore oil/ gas platforms for its non-rusting.
The Wheel Mark shows that a product meets the requirements of the Directive.
